Sweden Now Applies New Work Permit Rules for Foreign Workers
Since June 1 Sweden has been
applying new rules for labour migration, which include the preface of a demand
for an employment contract and the obligation of employers to report any change
in employment terms. The Swedish Migration Agency has revealed that the country
has decided to introduce new labor migration rules in order to help the exploitation
of workers as well as to attract and retain transnational capability.
Sweden has registered nearly first-time work
permit operations since the morning of 2022. This indicates that Sweden is

In addition, Bexelius said that the Agency
hopes to ameliorate the conditions of foreign workers in the labor request and,

The Agency stressed that one
of the most important changes it that the employment contract now must be
attached to the operation in order for the Swedish Migration Agency to grant a
work permit.
Also, under the new rules, the Agency can bear

to report if the terms of the employment contract have come less favorable.
Employers who fail to report the working
conditions at the request of the Agency may be subject to forfeiture.
“With these changes, we will have a lesser
occasion to address some of the abuse of the system that occurs, especially in certain

Another change is the preface
of a conservation demand for family migration tied to foreign labor. The rules
will be more analogous to those that apply to other family migration, but
without a demand for the casing of a certain standard.

crimes.
“Minor diversions shouldn't have to lead to
